Course description

Safety Committee is a 1-day course for joint health and safety committee members. You learn the OHS duties of employers, supervisors and workers, how refusal of unsafe work works, and what a safety orientation has to cover. You learn how to carry out workplace inspections and incident investigations, including finding root causes. You also cover the committee’s duties and functions, its rules of procedure, and how a committee is evaluated. Certification takes a final exam and the practical portion of the course.
